Very happy to go back to agricole rum with this JM XO. This blend of rum grown old 6 years in bourbon oak barrels has a beautiful gold color with very long legs. Sharp body with spices, exotic fruits and vanilla aroma. Very long afterstate. You can detect the sugar cane at the end. Return to origins !

This is the first rum from Agricole . Smell really nice but when you drink it taste very strong with a bit of spices.

Beautiful rum offered by a friend of Martinique. Blemd of at least 6 years old rums.
Tasted few months ago and need to taste it again but I remember a nice nose of spices (cinnamon and nutmeg), licorice vanilla and cocoa notes. Some hints of orange. Long powerful grilled and toasty round finish.

Good sipping rhum. Very strong vanilla smell and it smells like there is a lot of sugar in it. Becomes very balanced when you drink it and very long finish with a bit of spices. You can feel that it has been finished in bourbon casks

Il est épicé et relativement sucré, le nez donne envi mais j'ai été un peu deçu par le gout en bouche... je lui en préfère d'autre

Un rhum dans la lignée de ces petits frères VO et VSOP, dominé par les épices. Pour le coup un peu trop, je lui préfère le VSOP ou les millésimés

One of my favourite rums. Very spicy but in equilibrium with the fruit tastes.

Le design de la bouteille fait vintage mais le produit est excellent
le nez est engageant, avec des notes de miel et de vanille
l'attaque est franche, sucrée puis avec une forte note d'alcool
des goûts subtils se révèlent, fruits confits, canne
Suit une longue finale de canne.
Un des meilleurs rhums vieux de Martinique

flasken, og især etiketten giver indtryk af et originalt og autentisk stykke håndværk. Og fra Matinique må der ikke fusket med farve og ekstra tilsat sukker. En super agricole rhum, frisk, med citrus/appelsin noter, men også lidt blomsteragtig sødme.

Good bitterness like cacao, agricole taste with floral complexity.
No “off notes” with this one.

Searching for something to grab and store for the second quarantine, i thought about trying something different. Noticed this brand being mentioned under "no sugar added"; check! Fatrumpirate rates it 5 stars; check! It being a genuine extra old (french style); check! Result = instabuy. Obviously, i immediately sank in, right now at the very moment that i am typing. The smell is heavy but sensational, even though i cannot describe or decode. The texture is smooth, the burn almost nonexistent, the taste is grassy, reminding me of my herbal tinctures but way better, the aftertaste is like chewing herbs and the lingering grassy sensation was extremely welcome... It's as if you took a sip out of a herbal tea, after some time passes from the moment you gulped. This stuff is lovely, even though expensive. And the total absence of sugar, makes it a great, natural treat!
