Like the look of the bottle. Worth spending another 10 bucks to get a better version of Bumbu with more smoothness and complexity
The oak flavor surprised me a little as I was suspecting more molasses for some reason. If it had a little less after burn it would have been even higher. No complaints when mixed. While I generally like to see what my rum looks like before I pour, I did like the black bottle and cross.
I decided to buy myself a bottle of this having enjoyed the original so much. Unfortunately it was not the original but improved. Whilst I found this one to be a fair rum, it was in no way an improvement over the original, it seems to have more of a burn and slightly less flavour.
Good sipping, not to harsh some molasses notes very consistent.
Not as good as the clear bottle... but not something I would shy away from buying...
This one surprised me as it was a little oaky and had some slight hints of caramel but not at all have any hint of spices like the other one.
Far from the original, no heavy sweet banana taste, easy going down, but still a sweet rum
If you like premium rum this one will probably more to your liking than the original Bumbu. It's a "real" rum without added sugar. It's worth to note that both rums don't seem to have anything in common beside the brand name: The OG Bumbu is from Barbados and the XO is from Panama. It in deed tastes like a ~10 year old Panamesian rum.
I think it is a bit overpriced for what it is but it is decent.
V chuti karamel, dřevitost dubu, vanilku, trochu pomerančové kůry, a na závěr trochu pepře a kávu.
Notes of cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg also come into play. It has little burn to no burn.
"It is a fair bit drier. There is a touch of oak and a little bit of spice. Traces of ginger and little cinnamon. It’s very very short finish wise."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Dit is iets sterker als de orginele maar toch de moeite om een exemplaar in huis te hebben
