Don Q Pina

Rum tasting in Los Angeles continued onwards with Don Q Pina Rum. Boring bottle and label design. Plenty of unaged alcohol mixed with an awful artificial Pineapple extract to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Short but nasty burn at the end.

Since I was impressed with their Pasion and not so much with their Limon, Coconut, and Mojito, I finally got to try this one of their flavored rums. It tastes a bit artificial with only a trace of pineapple. I will stick with real pineapple juice for my drinks. This is not bad, but is just not what I was expecting. However, it needs a few ice cubes to wake up the pineapple flavors, which are mild.
