A limited selection, single cask, dark Rum from the Demerara region that transcends Rum to become art in my opinion.
The scent is simply precious, so deep, spice, tropical fruits, peeled oranges, fresh walnuts, then it becomes sweet... the sweet comes and goes, a moment you grasp it and then the scent of alcohol drives it away.
Not as dry as you would expect, the taste is an explosion of molasses, tamarind, fruits, almonds, vanilla (but not overpowering)... it fills your mouth then it inebriates the nose...
Long persistence and complexity. This is a personal note: after the first sip it fills my eyes with tears (it is that good) and it makes me long for another sip.
