Agricole that is good and interesting but just falls a bit flat compared to some others
This cane originated from Barbados and is cultivated and harvested on Marie-Galante annually. The main Bielle rhum is a blend of red and gray canes - this is purely gray cane.
It’s very clean and crisp compared to Bielle 59° blanc, but that missing character that makes the standard offering so damn great makes this pale in comparison. I still don’t get first presses in this category, they don’t hold up but are interesting nonetheless.
Cant believe this rum is 59%. It's really smooth. There is some really interesting tones on the nose, some green bananas, hint of grapfruit and newly cut grass.
In the mouth it's very smooth, a bit oily and with a very little burn at the end. There is also a taste of green bananas and star fruit. Very interesting! Beautiful rum!!
A white rhum you can drink pure. A very grass touch, with a lot op spicy afterdrink
This is really a great rhum agricole. It has all the flavor and complex nose that rhum agricole offers.
New 59% blanc made from the grise sugar cane type. Very enjoyable as a punch on its own even only with lime juice/oil. More fruity palate than a regular blanc. Spicy and fruity in mouth, the 59% is noticable but it won’t kill the taste. Therefore a very good issue from the Marie-Galante distillery. To be enjoyed on its own for sure, and in planteurs and other mixes, too. First rating is 8.4.

Fine 7 out of 10
Dimostra 10 gradi in meno
Ottimo per un Ti Punch
