Picked up a bottle while on vacation because I’d never heard of it, and was curious to try a Mexican-marketed rum. Industrial cane sugar product, to be sure, but this one is an añejo (aged) expression which is allegedly barreled and then filtered of it’s tannins. You wind up with a clear, aged rum that feels and tastes the part. It’s a dab sweet, with a thicker mouthfeel than you’d expect from a true light rum, so the body and flavor seem to confirm the aging and post distillation processing. I’m wary of slick bottling, big box store distribution and marketing, but if you’re looking for an inexpensive aged rum to mix with, or even try sipping, you might enjoy trying this one.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Double gold medal says it all. Aged for 9 years and filtered twice it is really one of the best crystal or white rums I’ve tried. I recommend this for mojitos!!
