Saint James Shrubb Creole rum

Saint James Shrubb Creole

Martinique | Flavored | 30.0% ABV | Column Still (1-4) Distilled

Saint James Shrubb Creole is a premium rum that is produced by the Saint James distillery in Martinique using a traditional method that involves blending fresh orange zest with aged rum. The resulting spirit is a rich and complex amber-colored rum that has a distinct flavor profile with notes of citrus, spices, and oak. It is perfect for mixing in cocktails, but also has enough complexity to be enjoyed neat or on the rocks. With a smooth and velvety texture, Saint James Shrubb Creole is a must-try for rum enthusiasts looking for a unique and high-quality spirit.

Visited the Saint James Distillery while vacationing in Martinique. Self guided distillery tour ended with a full open tasting bar. Bought a bottle of Saint James Shrubb Creole from the distillery for EUR 8. Decent bottle and label design. Dry Rhum Agricole flavors like grass and floral notes followed with artificial orange and other citrus fruits to the nose and palate. Quite a strong burn at the end being so dry. Rhum Agricole lovers can easily add 2 points to my score.
