Bundaberg Black 12-Year

This is your classic bottom shelf bundy. The kind you couldn’t give away for free to any discerning drinker. It’s got that classic hospital clinic cleaning detergent on the nose, but the black comes with a little kicker. From the shelf just above the detergent, they find a small bottle of Betadine, and it only takes a few drops to get that ‘aged’ look, and you barely even notice that it’s just as putrid as the standard offering.

I had to make this account, because this website is so reliable with the rating of rum. Now it is up to me to tank this ones rating, for the benefit of all rum drinkers who may be left with slim pickings at the local bottle shop. Do yourself a favour, and find something else.

This holds its head up nicely. Good old Bundy aftertaste.

Just makes it as a sipping rum when it is on sale. Fine when you have had a few and don’t want to waste your top shelf rums

Good value rum. It has all the Bundy characteristics, but a bit more mellow. Not a sipper, but works well as a mixer.

Starts sweet and smooth with hints of chocolate and smidge of spice. Comes on with some oak at the end. Really good for the price and is probably the best bundaberg offering Ive had so far.

an excellent one to add to the collection, i find after i finish a bottle i am looking for another, the flavour doesn't become stale, and using mixers dramatically change the glass.

Nice tasting black rum. Hints of spice and goes well with ginger ale.

Wasn't expecting much but it delivered in spades, dark syrup look with great vanilla smell. Another good rum out of Bundaberg

Just received this in the post, after 4 months delivery time thanks to Covid-19... Worth waiting for!
On par with the Bundaberg 101, very smooth.

If you can get a bottle of this, you won’t be disappointed!
