Nice and light rum

Rare rum produced by German distillery. This rum (in my view molasse based) matured for 2 years in bourbon barrels and got its finish for 1 year in a jurancon (sweet French wine) barrel. Nosing: fresh, vanilla, some hints of tropical fruits. Palate clearly reveals the Juracon sweet wine barrel finish, light overall sweetness which stays present during the finish. Overall a very interesting rum which has undergone a well-done finishing process. It would be greater if the fruity notes could be more present.
