Pyrat XO Reserve

Gehört wohl schon fast eher in die Kategorie flavoured Rum.
Schmekt irgendwie künstlich.

I'm glad I only spent $8 for a 375 mL. I don't get all the hype and will align myself with those who think this stuff should more appropriately fill my Zippo. I will agree it gets better as it sits, but why should you have wait?

Love the bottle, the cork, and even the color, makes you feel like a pirate when you open it with your teeth. The problem with this rum is the orange flavor. Almost to much for me giving it a fake-ness that destroys the essence of rum. Trying mixed is no better. Maybe it's me but it tasted as though the orange was added after to try and give it more flavor. The bite is also another issue, not smooth at all, but at least the bottle looks cool...

I wanted to like you, Pyrat. The flavors seemed right, your tan was a little too yellow on the orange scale (Saffron water additive? IDK... ) and the after burn was present. But, it's the additives. You faked the whole thing. I took off your glued-on eyelashes, stripped your butt lifter shorts and removed your padded brassiere to find someone I wanted to help, but man, I just don't have the time.

Sticky orange artificial syrup taste...to call this a rum is an insult to all hard working rum distiller...disappointment from A to Z

I hate to be insulting, because truthfully if it makes you happy, who am I to say it's bad. But to me, the false additive flavors of every Pyrat product insults the beauty and good name of Rum.

I bought and tried this one a few years ago and disliked it instantly. I honestly can't remember why. I should probably try it again to give it an honest review, but I dread doing that. Maybe if I'm feeling masochistic.

Didnt like this so much. To strong in taste. Nice bottle thou.

Not a good drink.. too strong, tastes like orange but not pleasant
