Was really looking forward to taste this one, as it came highly recommended. Must say I was a bit dissapointed, it's a good rum, sweet and round, but nothing extra ordinary. Not a rebuy.

Jag hade klart högre förhoppningar på Atlantico private cask. Den är tunn och smakar inte så mycket. Kräver att man luftar den rejält innan man dricker för att ens få lite aromer och smaker.

Just another rum, nothing special going on here to buy it again. No lingering aftertaste or depth. Average.

Not as smooth as I thought it was going to be. I guess I had higher expectations. Decent enough to drink with a cube or two but I prefer my rum neat.

Yes this is an easy sipper. Comes onto the palate sweet with a slight pinch at the back of the tongue, but doesn't deliver the richness or complexity the price would suggest it should have. This one will be used as a mixer until the bottle is gone.

Everything the advertising and literature says about this rum falls flat. I bought two bottles, for myself and my old man (67 year old Cuban), we both had one drink and put it away. I returned my bottle. Color is beautiful. Finish is boring. There was nothing there to make me desire another drink. For a solera blend of up to 25 year old rums, this showed almost no complexity.

Not a bad starter rum for most folks. Better than many bar level rums.

This is quite expensive for what it is. I'd definitely call it a flavoured rum rather than a spiced rum, in that the main flavour here is very definately rum...nothing else comes close. As a rum it's not bad. Quite smooth, a bit of aburn, but not too bad. The quality of the rum isn't bad either, though I'd say it was about medium.

After the rum, the other main flavours are oak, caramel and vanilla. If you want something cheaper, similarly smooth and medium sweet but a bit more interesting to sip, I'd recommend either Elements 8 spiced or St Aubins Vanilla. I think this is a tad bland next to them, but is still pleasant enough.

Atlantico Private Cask er er let rom og nem at drikke, måske god til nye rom drikkere, men jeg køber den ikke igen.

This is a smooth, sweet and harmless rum. It's primary emphasis is caramel flavour, so dont expect any adventure or hefty complexity. It's ok but there is quite a few products at similar money, that I find more interesting.
