Virgin Islands, British | Aged | 40% ABV
The Great British Admiralty first served rum daily to its Royal Navy sailors over 300 years ago until the ration was abolished in 1970. In 1979 Charles Tobias bought the recipe rights, formed Pusser’s Ltd. in the British Virgin Islands, and for the first time made the rum it available for public consumption.
Pusser’s British Navy rum today is the same blend of five West Indian rums as the British Admiralty issued to sailors.
Known as the “single malt of rum” Pusser’s British Navy rum is pot stilled using a similar method as that for single malt scotches, and with no artificial flavors is 100% natural.

I appreciate this rum on ice or with coke. Not a sipping rum in my book. Lots of complex fruity flavors.
Silnejsi, na konci zahreje, s lehkym kourovym nadechem, celou dobu jemna chut
A real Navy rum with a kick. unfortunately Tot call has been eliminated from her majesty's Navy and when it was still there I remember the rum being mixed with water but the flavor and bite was still there and Pusser's brought back those memories with a substantial improvement in flavor and bite. One of my favorites. Not for the faint of heart, its a strong course rum.
Painkillers. Pusser's was made for Painkillers. I tried sipping it once and recall it being very rough. I'll need to revisit it with a proper glass.
This being 'the' navy rum, my expectations were quite high. It is not a bad rum for sure, but the taste is mediocre at best. Reading reviews of Black Tot Rum or
British Royal Navy Imperial Reserve Rum, one can not help but ask "Why is this called the original British Navy Rum?". I have not had the original, but this is clearly something very different.
It is far from bad, but also far from good.
Great taste, but for somebody it can be little bit strong.
Good color, nose a bit harsh with leather and sweet notes, maybe prunes. I find the palate a bit strong for sipping or on the rocks. Astringent at first with strong notes of wood but undefined.
Ho voluto provare questo rum pur non avendo mai sentito la marca. Purtroppo è troppo alcolico tanto da non sentire l'aroma del rum stesso.
A nice blend of flavors, but a bit harsh on its own. Excellent in mixed drinks as it adds depth of flavor.
Original tot served to sailors

It has just the right balance of sweet.
"The rum is rich, warming, sweet, slightly oaked with hints of black pepper and allspice."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Aroma reminded me of Xmas smells, raisins, fruitcake, spiced butter
Taste lots of oaky bitterness and has quite the burn. Definitely not a supper but decent in a zombie or painkiller. Not so hot in a daiquri in my opinion too bitter
