Without emotions. Quite spicy in taste, not very aromatic. A little bit sweet. It motivates me to test other Bacardi rums.

I don't expect any miracle but it is very good rum. Bourbon taste is expessive, not a much sugar.

Better than the spiced, not as good as Oakheart from the Bacardi family.
Looks more fancy for as a commercial Rum

I wasn't expecting much from this one, but I was pleasantly surprised. Good flavor, very smooth. I like it almoast as much as the Pacto Navio. Tried in a rum old fashioned, but works better on ice for me.

Came as part of a Bacardi tasting set. Expected a lot more from this, one of Bacardi's premium offerings. Nice, but nowhere near it's price competitors.

Tried it straight, too harsh. Mixed it 50/50 with coke zero and it's enjoyable.

Middle of the road for aged rims, but to be fair 8 years is also middle of the road in age.

Overpowering almost artificial vanilla notes characteristic of Bacardi. I much rather have Bacardi carta blanca with coke, much more balanced. I paid $19.99 so value is above average. Would drink again if offered but would not purchase again.

A mass production that supposedly has aged 8 years. Just not much to it. Perhaps a hint of citrus. Other than that I'll finish this bottle and move on.

A very good 8 year rum from Bacardi!! Smoky and oaky taste, a touch of pleasant burn at first. Not so sweet (a bit of added sugar..) had it neat and on one rock paired with a dark chocolate and salty truflle. Truth is I enjoyed every sip and will do it again. I strongly suggest this rum to begginers to aged rums.

Tu ron añejo que siempre te saca de apuros, y se defiende frente a tus amigos - a buen precio

I tend to think of Bacardi as being both overly distinctive and overly average. It’s fine, but overpowers any cocktail. Anyway. Reservations put to one side, this does taste a lot more complex than that - as you’d hope from 8 years in the barrel... but it’s still pretty average. It’s fine to sip neat (which is what I generally do), but it’s no more than that. It’s a touch unrefined and a little paint-stripper-y. Not so much as to be unpleasant, but not in the top tier for sure.
