Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still Distilled
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

Sugar and slight fruit on the nose.
Fruity interesting taste, almonds, actually marzipan.
Still not that mature, there are better plantations but it is good.
Great finish, deep, rich and smooth but doesn't last that long.

A really nice well priced rum, love it but not to keen on the coconut taste in it.

On the nose I don't find vanilla as some other reviews have mentioned. It is a nice array of flavours but, coconut, marzipan and maybe tobacco hit me predominantly. Smooth going down and leaves a nice after taste.
This is a excellent sipper and probably my favourite. I love the look and it's absolutely fantastic to sip on. It's $76 CAD for the bottle which isn't as bad as many high end rums with less quality, this rum is great value.
If you're looking to spoil yourself and get a nice bottle - do it with this one. It's mid range price for a high end rum.

Aroma with tones of vanilla and eggnog
Lightly sweet taste with tones of chocolate, coconuts and some not specified fruit :)

This is an excellent Rum, although I preferred the Diplomatico exclusive for straight up or on the rocks.
Edit 12/2022. Everyone I have enjoyed rum with really likes this one, but I guess my tastes have changed or the rum has! I will say this is one of the best rum bottles ever made! There are other rums I like better now.

I usually enjoy Zacapa XO, but this one is also pretty good stuff. Someday I preferr this bottle for a nice end of a good day!

This rum was a very pleasant surprise! It has gone down as one of my favorites. A very smooth rum with a great flavor profile that lingers. It is slightly sweeter than most rated this high, but it works with the flavor. Highly recommended!

Bis jetzt der beste rum den ich getrunken habe.
Kokosnuss und bannane, Schokolade und Vanille. Weich und komplex.
SchΓΆne schwere Flasche macht was her.
Gifted a friend with this bottle and he was more than happy. Very balanced enjoyable flavor profile with absolutely no burn on the way down.

A hint of coconut at the start. And then its smooth sailing till the end. Doesn't get much better than this
