Ideal für das Präsentieren verschiedener Hefen bei einem Rumtasting. Sensationell
2018 edition
53,3%abv pot still proof
From Baraderes village
Cane variety: Hawaii
Distilled from pure sugar cane juice with wild fermentation.
Nosing: Huge estery nose, lots of different tropical fruits, apple cider vinegar, brine, strawberry and unripe banana.
Palate: Phew, packs a lot of punch and heat, first comes strawberry and lots of fresh black pepper, brine, apple cider vinegar but not as much as the nose, whole basket of tropical fruit, some sour pineapple and fresh yellow banana, also some rubber and green apple skins. Some "barbeque" like note in the end that is bit hard to describe
Extremely complex and strong rum, might need to do another tasting to really get all the flavours.
Amazing rum, this is possibly my favorite white rum so far.
Thank you master distiller Faubert Casimir and also the Velier team
I loveeeee the Clairin line and the Casimir is no disappointment. Grassy and earthy agricole with a nice amount of fun. Some amazing olive brine notes. Very very good.
Krásna vôňa, naozaj specificke Haiti. Úžasná aróma,no chuť trošku zaostáva a tá prezretost ovocia je už trochu mimo mna
This is my first Clairin, third agricole sort. It brings range of positive emotions by variety of taste and aroma. Oily smooth, easy with alcohol even being 49.5°. Bunch of berries, exotic fruits, pure sugar cane (: i guess :), bit of flowers, spices and salt detected. Aftertaste is long, not too pronounced, just Ok.
Feel like it very addictive )
... running into liquir store - there are too more sorts available )
Vegetable, floral aroma, red cherry tomato hints. Like most Clairin… very funky rum :)
The fourth in the Madison & Velier line of clairin I've had... (Perhaps more if you count the aged expressions...) And after a couple others, I'm finally getting the hang of these. :)
Like my favorites, a big esthery nose of banana and rubber. But if it smells like a Jamaican, your tongue is surprised by olives and saline along with the hint of glue, lemon peel, and tropical fruit.
Delicious, surprisingly complex definitely worth a try!
Strong hit of white vinegar and maybe just a hint of some spices such as turmeric.
"It kind of tingles on the tongue and you get a kind of kickback of vegetal flavours when you swallow. It leaves a very strong grassy after taste."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

2016 harvest. 48.5% ABV. Nose: rancio gives way to loads of sweet barbecue, roasted cauliflower. Palate: prickly, smokey, briny.
The "biggest" of the standard 3 clairins. Quite interesting, quite hard to pin down. I'll need to revisit this one for a proper evaluation, but I wholeheartedly recommend this for anyone wanting to try something big, flavorful, and unique.
