Plantation 1999 Trinidad Banyuls Finish

My Bottle is from cask 3
a little bit less sweet as Ron Centenario 20-Year.

Nose - : sweet, dark fruits ,caramel sherry ,smoke
Taste - nice : sweet , fruity caramel , vanilla, light alcoholic,light sharp, wood , chocolate,

Last drink for the night was Plantation Trinidad 1999 Banyuls Sherry Cask Finish and it was very similar to the Plantation Trinidad 1999 or 2001 vintages, just a tad more smooth than the regular vintages. Hard to find bottle, very nice to try it out, but hard to come back to this one to be very frank. Banyuls Sherry Cask Finish was dryer than I anticipated, no burn at all and no foul smells, but the flavor profile was just not that much different that the regular selection, so it earns a score of 7.

Nice rum, a mellow taste with a long after taste, would have this again

very good value for the price. Delicious rum that has a woodsy sweet taste and a firm finish.

Very complex. The cask finish is very well balanced as it adds depth without being overwhelming as they often are. A tad sweet.

This rum is one of the best rums for sipping that I have tried.

It has a complex flavour with different kinds of dried fruit and leather (yes, it is a taste).
