Admiral Rodney HMS Formidable

It’s a quality rum with a decent punch of oak. It’s definitely smoother than the step below Princessa. Classy bottle too. I’d say it’s an add for most, but I admit there are a few rums a bit cheaper I’d select over this one.

Picked this up “end-of-bin” discounted, but I’d gladly pay retail for the bottle. Super sippable and fine rum, light, but full of character. Smells of warm caramel and honey. Taste is similar with hints of orange peel and sugarcane. Very delicate on the palate, but carries a pleasant warmth going down without being harsh. A treasure

Lots of wood, and some spice and sweetness, but nothing particularly good about this.

it s dry and ABV is only 40, st lucia distillers have done better job with their chairman s reserve series ... beautiful bottle and solid unadulterated product, but really can t be named as something particularly good ...

Admiral Rodney HMS Monarch Rum er et godt, gennemmodnet og vellavet produkt, som byder på pæn dybde og en god kompleksitet. Og hvis man har en sød tand, så vil jeg sige, at det er en af de bedre sødet romaftapninger på markedet.

Caramel notes heavier than the royal oak and princessa and smoother than both but feel that the royal oak finish lingers longer. This is definitely a winner though but feel its too smooth and it loses a bit of what I enjoy.
