I bought this rum because of high ratings but It failed my expectations. It’s good for drinks eg mojito😜
Denna vita rom gör jag helt fantastisk mojito på! Passar perfekt!
Good for mixing. Decent after taste if sipped on the rocks.
Colorless with sweet smell. Pretty smooth on rocks with subtle sweetness. Overall ok. Probably best in a mixer. Goes fine with a coke. Would think fruit punch could go well
My rum life began with (surprise) bacardi.. so white rum to me was something to get drunk on, not enjoy.. but boy did this one change that! I'm no expert so no going on about notes, flavours and smell but this one is so worth the drink! First white rum i enjoyed without sinfully adding coke!
The taste is something like a mixture of quality citrusy floral white rum and a bold dry trinidad rum with a hint of jamaican funk. Is lot bolder than havana club 3 and lacks the quite heavy fruity slightly acidic citrus notes of the havana club.
Is quite basic, bit overrated here, it is good but nothing unique really.
I would bolster this rum with more jamaican pot still rum, and then i could give it a 6
So the story began woth me finding this precious for 17.99 for 1 liter. I was planning on another rum but price was made it clear and easy...
It is not a classic white rum. To be honest it is not even crystal clear.. it is blurry because of distilation process and it makes it taste like high $$$$ sipping rum.
Also it is great for a mixer. Vanilla nuts and pineapple i was able to pick up from my experiences..
Great, lets make it clear amazing rum...
You cannot go wrong with plantation rums. For its price and flavor, plantation *** goes a long way in a home bar. A little more flavorful and full bodied than a standard light rum, but very smooth.
Without a doubt the best clear rum I ever tasted. This blend is great on it's own and perfect for cocktails. Must have for every rum and cocktail fanatic. Of its kind it is really in a class of its own. I enjoyed its floral pallet and vanilla aftertaste.
if the price does not wow you the flavor will! This is a great mixing white rum. I use this and Cana Brava as my go to white rums.
It’s mainly a nose of strong alcohol.
"Initially it sips quite well and is reasonably smooth but it is has a very strong taste when swallowed."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Awesome mixing rum and even a smooth light sipping rum

First thing in the nose immediately after pouring is warming alcohol. After it sits and relaxes for a few moments hints of vanilla, sugar and soft fruitiness come out .
The flavor is smooth and light. Warming with hints of vanilla, and sugar up front. I get a little soda-like quality, almost like a cross between cream soda and root beer. It's fleeting and very soft. The flavors transfer to a soft bitterness at the end and the sweetness dries up. Finish is soft and fast. A soft lingering numbness on the palate. Very clean and crisp. This is a light bodied delicate rum with a lot going on if you look for it. The underlying complexity lends itself to creating great nuances in cocktails.
This is not a hard rum to sip. It's light and smooth. Light rum flavor with other soft notes combining to make a nice drink. It really comes into its own as a mixer when calling for unaged or lightly aged rum. Great in a Daiquiri, El Presidente and other classic cocktails especially those that call for Cuban or Puerto Rican style rums. I highly recommend this for any Tiki enthusiast as it's a great weapon in the Tiki arsenal. A solid 7 for a light sipper and 8 for all around use as a mixer. And at this price it's a fantastic bargain, $18 for a liter bottle in Ohio.
Dosage on this rum is 7 g/L according to the Plantation website.
