Pampero Aniversario Reserva Exclusiva

Rum famoso, molto pubblicizzato. Lo considero un ottimo level entry nel mondo dei rum. Abbastanza equilibrato nei sapori anche se presenta note di alcool un po' persistenti . Ottimo da presentare per una bevuta in compagnia non necessariamente da bere "nei peggior bar di Caracas" come diceva la pubblicità e soprattutto senza spendere cifre folli. Buono col cioccolato ma anche mischiato per i cocktail. Consigliato. Un classico delle bevute in compagnia.

More bite than expected. Sharp alcohol smell and and to much alcohol burn for my taste. Spicy, bitter and at the end a sweet aroma. It become more balanced with ice.

I initial rated this rum with 6. After almost three month in the self sipping only one or two glass per month I realise that the rum change a lot its character and become a lot more smooth, more gentle, more complex and it lose the strong (for me) hit of alcohol. I believe the oxygen that was enter the bottle oxygenate the rum and show his real character. I also noticed that i didn't ask for ice, instead i sip it straigth up with pleasant.
It is sweet, but not too much, I also got tobacco hits as well as some bitterness and spices at the end that made me to want to sip more.
I catch my self to ask more of this rum that the other (more premium) rums in my collection.
Definitely i will buy more bottles of this to taste it again.

For the price hard to beat if it's available near you.

Hints of smoke, leather, and caramel make this a great rum to enjoy straight up, but cube of ice really opens it up. Nice dry finish.

Smooth, sweet sipper in lovely packaging for under € 25,- Good value in my book. 7,5. Is it just me or does the same rum get differrent ratings on the forum? As far as I can see Pampero Aniversario only comes as 'reserva exclusiva' but is rated 2x here.The non 'exclusiva' rating a full point lower.

Great rum with great quality, some nice notes of stone fruits and finishing dry like a great rum should be. Highly recommended.

Nice rum with sweet taste. I personally prefer a bit more strong rums but this one is a must to try..
