Pampero Aniversario was first crafted in 1963 to commemorate the Pampero company’s 25th anniversary. The rum is a blend of rums ranging in maturity from four to six years and aged in whisky and bourbon barrels.
The Pampero distillery was founded by Alejandro Hernández of Venezuela in 1938. The brand is now a division of the world’s largest liquor holding company, Diageo.

Nice bottle and color - light mahagony. But it disappointed me in taste. Too sharp, medium sweet, oakiness aswell. But for the price is not do bad.

Takový chuťový průměr z tmavých rumů, ale příliš hustý, sladký, mix různých aroma bez specifické chuťové výraznosti. Neadekvátní cena v atraktivním balení. Můj první ochutnaný rum s korkovým uzávěrem.
Strong aromas, taste comes through after a delayed moment but lingers for a while. Nice with a single block of ice. Strong smokey/bitter taste, hint of vanilla.

Dark aged colour.
Slight smell of sugar on the nose and a woody note.
Quite thin initial taste, some alcohol in the middle.
The bottle looks too small to hold 70cl, small and stubby but does look cool. Comes with a leather pouch which is very nice.

if you are into good sweet rum, for a great price this is one of the better choices.
as Diageo wants to premiumitize Zacapa line, this brand got stuck out in their marketing focus.
however, if they want to pour marketing and packaging on Zacapa to build up prices but leave this one as is, then i'm fine with it.
some prefer to have provenance of their rum to be island based, but sometimes non island producers offer great liquid.
little too sweet for my palate, but if i ever need sweet rum at good price, i usually go for this brand.

J ai adoré ce rhum, il goûte la vanille, caramel et sucre brun. J en veux déjà une deuxième bouteille. Tout à fait mon genre.

Silky smooth taste, however I found nothing particularly noteworthy about Pampero. Middle of the road price and taste. Certainly worth trying once. Not a bad beginner rum, but I can think of better.
