Pampero Aniversario was first crafted in 1963 to commemorate the Pampero company’s 25th anniversary. The rum is a blend of rums ranging in maturity from four to six years and aged in whisky and bourbon barrels.
The Pampero distillery was founded by Alejandro Hernández of Venezuela in 1938. The brand is now a division of the world’s largest liquor holding company, Diageo.

Thus rum comes in a leather pouch, which looks great. The taste is just sweet enough to my taste, but a bit short.

Good value for money.
Stand out compared to other rum's that cost just as much.
Tabaco, leather and and hint of vanilla and a fruity note.

Pampero really nailed the presentation on this one. Lovely bottle and an amazing colour. A great sipping rum for those who dont like their rum really sweet.

Great sipping rum. Not as rich as Diplo Reserva Exclusiva, but in the ballpark. Sweetness is subtle. A personal favorite to have with a flavored seltzer (usually lime or orange-vanilla).

Pampero Aniversario - like it for well balanced aroma and taste.
This is a delightfully dark sipping rum that has a great finish! I love the lite fruity and slightly vanilla taste. This rum equals or surpasses many higher priced rums. Definitely worth having on hand.

Havana Club flavours with a sour punch.
Happy to drink but can't see myself choosing it from the shelf with excitement.

Good reviews here a some good references from my friends made me to buy this rum. But it was big disappointment. It bites in the nose, bites on the tongue and bites in the throat. Maybe it is just bad bottle, ti would not be my first experience that one bottle tastes different than another. But for now i am not recommanding this rum.
Definitely not smooth with strong alcohol taste. More suitable on the rocks
Retasted: rate 4->5, but still unsatisfiing experience. This rum is not good, taste is just flat and bity.

Sugar: 16 to 20 gpl. I bought this bottle primarily because of the packaging and thought for $29 this wouldn't be that good. I sure was wrong about price equals taste. Who knew that a 4 to 6 year blend of rums could be this good. In the glass it has a great aroma of brown sugar or fudge-caramel. Oak, vanilla and spices follow. It is a sweet and very smooth rum with a pleasant burn and agreeable aftertaste. Not overly complex, but so darned easy to drink. Even the ladies tried it and that's surprising. During my first glass I thought this tasted familiar, prompting me to pull out the Zacapa 23 and the Zacapa XO from the shelf. Sure enough this one is right in the middle of those 2 rums. Maybe the blender was working on Zacapa and Pampero the same week. Both brands are controlled by Diageo....so it makes sense. It's not a conspiracy, it's a deal. It doesn't matter as this is an outstanding bargain.
I will be sure to stock up on this rum the next time I find it.

Witam! Ostatnio nie działo się wiele w kwestii rumów ale ostatnie miesiące mogą tę sytuację mocno odmienić - także wkrótce zrobimy mały come-back w tej kwestii. Dziś przed państwem rum z Wenezueli który jest pierwszym destylatem z tego kraju na blogu oraz dla mnie osobiście. Ładna prezencja - beczułkowata butelka, ozdobny kartonik (czasem można spotkać również beżową sakwę), dębowy korek niestety nie sygnowany żadnym logiem. Od momentu zakupu (już na sklepowej półce) zapowiada się naprawdę fajnie szczególnie że postanowiłem się zaskoczyć i nie czytałem żadnych opinii oraz ocen. Rum został nabyty u naszych południowych sąsiadów którzy charakteryzują się znacznie większym wyborem tego typu destylatów niż u nas w kraju (czego im serdeczne zazdroszczę). Muszę się przed Wami przyznać iż lubię sytuację gdy jestem zaskoczony ceną. Otóż na początku 2018r. będąc na krótkim narciarskim wypadzie widziałem go w cenie 649CZK, a kilka miesięcy później w tym samym sklepie ale już z kolegą nabyliśmy go ze znaczną obniżką. Dobra - tyle dywagacji, zabieramy się do poznania zawartości:
ZAPACH: Trochę beczki, delikatna wanilia, palony karmel, czarna herbata. Ogólnie zapach niezbyt intensywny ale ciepły.
SMAK: Wiśnie w czekoladzie, suszone owoce, znikoma słodycz, delikatna beczka.
Śmiało można stwierdzić iż jest to rum nieoczywisty - gładki oraz kremowy w smaku ale niezbyt skomplikowany. Trudno jest mi go ocenić - z jednej strony super prezentacja, znana marka a z drugiej prosta zawartość taka trochę bez charakteru... Można też powiedzieć że nie sprawia wrażenia szlachetnego oraz równocześnie nie kojarzy się z tanimi mieszankami. Drinki z nim nabierają charakteru ciepłego z nutą palonego karmelu (i tu warto wspomnieć iż jak pisze o drinku to mam na myśli Rum+Cola - jeżeli sytuacja ma się zgoła inaczej to Was oczywiście poinformuje). Ale niestety kupno do drinków nie uzasadnia takiego wydatku. Plus za nie obniżoną moc - standardowe 40% bez kombinowania.
