It's what you imagine good rum would be. Moderate bite (rum tends to be big), big flavor. Not really a sipper, but can pass as one if you really just want rum with a solid flavor and the bite of top shelf Jack Danial's
46 ABV. Similar to the standard 12-year; complex, oaky, slightly sweet. There's an orange note on the nose that really comes out in a Daiquiri. A fantastic "introductory" sipping rum that should be enjoyed by all!
Unfortunately, this rum is no longer in stock (except, of course, at the Cove), but I believe this may be identical to other 12yo, 92-proof, non-limited-release Real McCoys. But the Cove got it first, and the bottle is adorned by a lovely SC sticker.
