Maggieโs Farm 50/50 Dark rum, a blend of the base used in their White Rum and a 12-year column-distilled, molasses-based rum imported from Trinidad. The blend gets aged 6-9 months in used rum casks. A small amount of fermented molasses is added before itโs bottled at 80 proof.

Down the middle, caramel notes a bit of spice on finish, sippable

You can definitely taste the bajan rum as the star, but the white cuts it a bit and gives it a sharp edge that I like

Not overly sweet, which usually would bother me, but in this case it works really well. Kind of like an agricole, but not as strikingly earthy.

This was my favorite find from our visit to Pittsburgh. A classic dark rum that would make a great dark & stormy. Light creaminess on the nose with just a hint of caramel, gives way to a full flavor rum that will remind you of a molasses cookie.

I really enjoy their flagship white, hidden harbor, falernum and coffee liquer.
Just not this one. I can tell it's got a lot going on. Hints of agricole and molasses. Fruity. Just not my jam.
