Alles was ein Plantation hergibt.

From the Vintage Series, aged 11 years in Bourbon barrels in Jamaica and 2 years in France.
Beautiful bright amber in the glass.
On the nose, sweet ripe tropical fruits on a freshly baked vanilla bun. Cream - caramel on lightly toasted wood.
Very elegant on the palate, mouth-filling and sweet, tropical fruit, pineapple, banana, caramel, vanilla. Everything a plantation gives. The "funk" should be played louder.
On the finish, mmm, wonderfully long-lasting, caramel, creamy sweet, candied fruit.
I love this Plantation vintage series, gentle and lovely, perfect after a hard day.
A rum for Jamaica explorers and long-time tourists.

note fruttate e tropicali in leggerezza, risulta interessante

Bananas and a light funk. Finishes with that lovely floral note typical of plantation rums. Very easy drinking. I wouldn't mix this rum, as it's flavor wouldn't stand up to juice.

I had a chance to try out the Plantation Jamaica 2000 and 2001 back-to-back and they both have a very weird rubber smell to them. Maybe it's the Jamaica Glue which other reviews are referring to. The actual color of the rum is semi-dark, and for some weird reason there is a strong rubber smell to the rum. So the nose test scores very poorly. The taste test is actually not that bad at all, but far from the top Plantation rums. Sweetness comes very quickly and disappears as quickly. Pineapple and vanilla flavors make the sweetness in this rum. Hardly any burn at the end. Struggles to score a 6, but it's far better than the Barbados 5 year old which I have scored a 5 and also the Jamaica 2000, which I scored a 5.
