El Pasador de Oro Gran Reserva rum

El Pasador de Oro Gran Reserva

France | Aged | 40% ABV

The rum is a product of Les Bienheureux S.A.S. (in Paris France) and is a blend of several ‘grand reserva’ Guatemala rums with an initial long aging period of 10 to 18 years in several types of casks.  The casks are then imported into the Charente, in the cellars of the French company Les Bienheureux where the spirit is rested in used cognac barrels for a further 6 months.

A sweet aftertaste. Not molasses, caramel, or oak. Just sweet. A 6.5 out of 10 on my scale

This a a decent sipper for that nice warm afternoon whe you are not looking for something exceptional. At a great price point $27 at Total wine in CT

Good if you love centenario, different from the XO in that it’s less sweet and has smoother nose

Unbelievably smooth. Toasty caramel and vanilla. Not too sweet. Delightful.

Výborný guatemalský rum s dubovou vůní a trošku drsnější chutí.

The bottle look really nice, the color is amber. In the glass the density is medium, with nice mark.
On the nose the alcohol is mild, nice soft flavors of vanilla and fruits not really define.
In the mouth start very soft with not much sweetness but immediately you got the alcohol in the tough .
When you swallow the flavor is cover at the beginning from the alcohol but slowly the melassa flavor start and stay longer.
Not defined flavor but a good mix of soft fruit and vanilla.
No burning in the stomach... maybe little enough.
Surprise Guatemala rum. Must have one bottle if you are rum testing expert

Another winning evening w/my five sons. Unanimous choice. You can smell and taste the oak. Smooth. Elegant with no overpowering sweetness. Top performer.

Pour 110$ canadien ! Meilleur rhum que j'ai eu la chance de goûter...Avec le plantation XO 20th anniversaire, l'eldorado 21 ans, le Emperor Sherry Cask, et le Diplomatico Reserva. Top 5

Good Value for money. Private label, no true heritage

Blød spis duft, den har en stærk skarp smag i starten men bliver fyldig og holder godt i smagen.
