The flavour or port comes in but at the expense of smoothness. Rum feels more harsh on the tongue and makes more difficult to enjoy. I don't recommend. I love the original 30yo solera but this one is not worth the extra cost.
Alkohol: 40 %
Původ: Dominikánská republika
Aroma: Oproti sherry verzi hlubší, temnější projev. Broušená kůže, galanterie, portské, podhoubí, tlející dřevo, med, lesněnky. (90 b)
Chuť: Čekal bych plnější tělo, na jazyku dost tenké. Jinak portské je znát, kořenité, do kůže, decentní dřevo, větrovost, propolis. Krémová dochuť. (86 b)
Body: 88/100
Shrnutí: Ochutnán s kamarádem v rámci degustace sedmi rumů na naší lednové akci.
Cítím příjemně ovocnou vůni s náznaky kávy a vanilky.
Chuť je ovocná a nasládlá. Jde z ní poznat v jakém sudu rum dozrával. V chuti cítím taky náznaky kávy, švestek a dubu. Na konci příjemně hřeje.
As the name suggests, the base is the classic Quorhum 30 solera from the Oliver & Oliver distillery (Dominican Republic), which has been aged for several months in port wine barrels. The oldest rums in the solera are up to 30 years old. The rum was bottled at 40% strength.
Bottle: Very nice asymmetric bottle, closed with a real cork stopper.
Colour: Amber with a hint of ruby from the port wine.
Nose: Pleasant sweet with traces of vanilla, caramel, wooden barrel and fortified port wine.
Taste: It is sweeter but also woody. There is caramel, red wine and vanilla. The port wine is not so noticeable in the taste.
Finish: Medium to sweet.
This is already a slightly more premium type of rum, where the port wine enhances the already good taste of Quorhum 30. The price difference between these two versions does not correspond to the difference in taste, which is why I am deducting 1 point in the rating.
Rating: 8.5/10
Sladkost: 3/3
Vzorek #10 na RumFest Praha 2021
Vůně navnadí, ale pak přijde ultrasladký šok.
Taste is nice. Rich and deep and fruity. But for my taste I would go with the Opthimus 25 oporto finish instead. The balance is better in this one.
Almost as good as the original 30 solera, with a slight smell and taste of port.
It is sweeter though, and for me that is a minus...

QRM 30 Oporto…
8
/10
out of 10
Equipment: this is a standard QRM bottle, not good and not Bad, just standard
Nose: Inviting sweet nose, with some berry and fruity scent
Taste: Sweet and lovely taste, with alot of berry, vanilla, honey and some fudge
Aftertaste: round and sweet with a small hint of coffee
I give this rum 88 out of 100, and will absolutely buy more of this rum
