Caramel and cherry aroma. Well balanced taste of body and tail.

I think this is on level with the normal 30 YO, and this might be my favorite of the new line, a bit sweeter than the 30 YO after the porto cask, still the lovely scent and taste.

As the name suggests, the base is the classic Quorhum 30 solera from the Oliver & Oliver distillery (Dominican Republic), which has been aged for several months in port wine barrels. The oldest rums in the solera are up to 30 years old. The rum was bottled at 40% strength.
Bottle: Very nice asymmetric bottle, closed with a real cork stopper.
Colour: Amber with a hint of ruby from the port wine.
Nose: Pleasant sweet with traces of vanilla, caramel, wooden barrel and fortified port wine.
Taste: It is sweeter but also woody. There is caramel, red wine and vanilla. The port wine is not so noticeable in the taste.
Finish: Medium to sweet.
This is already a slightly more premium type of rum, where the port wine enhances the already good taste of Quorhum 30. The price difference between these two versions does not correspond to the difference in taste, which is why I am deducting 1 point in the rating.

Sladkost: 3/3

Vůně navnadí, ale pak přijde ultrasladký šok.

Taste is nice. Rich and deep and fruity. But for my taste I would go with the Opthimus 25 oporto finish instead. The balance is better in this one.

Knap så god, som den originale Quorhum 30. Lidt sødere, men stadig god.

Very similar to standard 30 9 out of 10

Nicely smooth and balanced. Taste is very similar to standard QRM 30 only in aftertaste you can recognize porto tones. Only one cons is price :-( 50% higher than standard QRM 30 does not correspond to the difference in taste.
