Neupřesněných několik let zrání v sudech po bourbonu, 1 rok ve Francii v sudu po koňaku Ferrand a následně ještě půl roku v sudu z jihoamerického tvrdého dřeva Amburana.
Alkohol: 48 %
Původ: Barbados/Francie
Aroma: Perník, skořice, medovník, anýz, vanilka. Trochu z vůně trčí i lihovost. (85 b)
Body: 84/100
Shrnutí: Za mě zatím vůbec nejslabší plnění z řady Single Cask této značky. Při první ochutnávce mi přišel v pořádku, při další už mi silně vadila ta nevyzrálost a lihovost. Decový vzorek mi bohatě stačil.
Great rich taste and smell off tropical fruit like banana, pineapple and coconut. Silk smooth in the mouth.
Single cask collection 2018. Made at the West Indies Rum Distillery. It says double aged but no indication of how many years. States first in Bourbon casks in the tropics, then to France, like others. Overall a nice sipping rum with good flavor and smoothness.
I don't see any point to this rum. It's practically the same as their other double dark which is only ok. It's all advertising.
On the nose I get fruits, dates, vanilla, banana and same goes for palate, adding spices and very nice alcohol taste.
Plantation is an excellent bang for the buck rum. This is the first special bottle I’ve purchased. You can taste the extra 8% alcohol for sure. I don’t think I’ll buy again.
Almost impossible to drink. 48° - alcohol only plus mawkishness.
Surprisly, similar taste to mauritius Beach House I had last week.
I'm fooled by XO title - it is "double aged" just for ½ of year.
Fixed it quickly with Appleton 12.
Au revuar Plantation.
We were split on this one - it has a slightly smoky finish that is very divisive. If you're into Islay or other peaty scotches, this will be pretty great. Otherwise, it might be a bit off putting. Outside of that though, it's a fantastic rum hands down. The nose is slightly sharp and the mouthfeel is warm without too much burn, and no acridity. All in all, a great bottle, tough to keep around the house.

One of the Best Plantations 7 out of 10
This is a good rum. Boozey nose. I get a little bit of pineapple. Would buy this again.
