Dos Maderas Seleccion

This was a blind buy for me… read about it a bit & went ahead & bought a bottle.. I was amazed by it. Smooth down the throat, great smell, amazing taste, presentation is great & what a color it has! Would definitely recommend.
Shared it with friends & we all loved it. Planning on getting another bottle asap..

Easy nose no noticeable alcohol burn, beautiful dark brown color, nice 42% calling it cask strength. Interesting mix of PX 5+5 and bourbon barrel aged Barbados & Guyana rums.what’s not to love. The sherry aging of PX deffinately shines through but more subtle than 5+5. A slightly sophisticated rum well worth trying. Easy to drink neat or with one ice cube, second sip I think the sherry is the dominate note but enjoyable all the same mild lingering flavors. Good 8.5

Dnes mám asi špatný čich a necítím co bych cítit měl.
V chuti je jemný, cítím čokoládu, kakao s poměrně krátkým závěrem.

Vůně- scherry, máslo, whisky
Chuť - jemně kouřová s náznakem scherry sudu, koření
Celkem slabota. Na 5+5 nemá ani omylem

Really thought this was good even though I am a newbie.
Seems to be fairly dark and Rich tasting.
I need to try the other Dos Maderas offerings...

Smells of vanilla, oak, sweet bright fruits. Finishes long with a light bite, and very sweet.

I very like 5+5, and this Seleccion is similar, maybe a little bit smoother, but there is no big difference between them. I can´t find the difference when I don't drink it at the same time.

Rate Dos Maderas Seleccion je sladký. Celkem dobře se pije. Neurazí.

Dos Maderas 5+5 is one of my favorite go-to rums so was very excited to see the Seleccion available. It's basically everything good about the 5+5 but with more flavor, better body, better aroma, and just as if not more smooth. If I find it available again (not easy) I'll definitely be buying another bottle.
