Not great, not terrible. Men bestemt ikke noget at skrive hjem om.
I could sip it but I won't. I'm gravitating to rums that are solera but this is weak in most respects. where I enjoy this rum is at the back end when there is a bit of warmth and a vanilla notes. otherwise its just weak cocoa and wood with nothing exciting till i drop some coke into the mix.
Ron San Miguel Solera 1952
Duft: Kanel, træ, melasse
Smag: rig, frugt, peber, brændt træ, vanilje, tør.
Point: 5
Mi primer ron ecuatoriano, se deja beber, poco que destacar
Nothing special, has a medium burn. On the nose it is quite nice but the burn afterwards diminishes it.
Easy to drink, medium alcohol burn on the palate but easy to drink. Flavor profile is noy overly complex. Sweet, with notes of coco
I like this one, fruity taste, amooth witg coconut on nose with bit smoaky flavor.
Nice color, good taste, and nice finish, good drinking for night. 6/10
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Solera rum from Ecuador - certainly not the first country that comes to mind when thinking about rum. Positives - the bottle is nice and hefty. Negatives- pretty much everything else. Aroma is alcohol and slight wood even after letting breathe for 15 minutes and adding ice. Taste is heavy on the bourbon with Wood and virtually no sweetness and dry (which I do not mind at all when the flavor is there). Aftertaste short and bit harsh. Final negative was the $50 price. Don't waste your money even if you can find for 1\2 that cost. It is a below average rum. And this is supposed to be their top offering???? Yikes.
