Tonight we have tasted the El Dorado 21, the Cubaney Centenario, the QRM 30 Aniversario and Zacapa XO. This Riise Black Edition is simply the best of them!
This is the most surprising rum i have tasted so far. its really sweet, if u dont like sweet rums maybe stear clear of this one. I really liked everything about this rum, from the amazing looking bottle to the smell and surely the surprising taste. Its smooth, creamy a bit smoky. I love it,the only reason i didnt give it a ten is that i have so much more to taste and i can't think this is the best out there.
This is just an exceptional rum, sweet, flavourful - If you do no like this ... you don't like rum
Very bad taste more more sugar and artificial colour. I don't like'it This is syrop/liquir
A little bit worse then non plus ultra - very rare(the interesting thing is, this one costs about 90 EUR, and very rare is cheaper, about 70 EUR), because at the begining I feel(a little) - strong alcohol fumes like some cheap vodka.... I love sweet rums, but this one is too much for me, mainly in combination with this strange kind of artificial flavour and strong alcohol fumes. I am disappointed, I tasted "very rare" before, and expected from this minimum 10/10. Update: I found the strange artificial flavour is probably licorice, (or sweet wood), and I don't like this herb at all...This rum is not for me, especially not at this price. But....not great, not terrible.
Leider etwas teurer
Aber der Geschmack ist für mich super
Ölig mild süß
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

An insolent rum. Expensive, oversweetened but easily distinguishable and flavourful. Pretty strong nose. Can seem obtrusive for (some) advanced drinkers.

A flagship of most successful cliché top-tier sweet rum commercial brand as my friend (an experienced rumstore runner) atply said. The rum has strong plummy and raisin smell, promising something really sweet coming up. The taste is little less sweet than smell would tell with predominant caramel/chocolate/sweet fruit tones at first but also kicky and long and burny in the end.
I felt plums (or more likely some plum-like overrrpien fruits) in the nose the most.
The glass is a prime sample how luxurious rums should be packed and presented, including the cork solution which is the smartest, coolest I've seen so far. (The cork got fucked up lately as the rum was here for several months being primarily served on family occassions due to its "Jack of all trades" kind of taste and smell).
If this rum would was a car it would be ford mustang: renome (way) over the actual experience.
And I find comments like "you must love it, otherwise bla-bla" silly at best. Many true (agricole, pure) rum lovers will likely not like it (so much). Actually this rum did not impress any of my friends as well, incl. heavy-sugar-dose addicts and sweet junkies.
