I had been eager to try this one for a while but was difficult to find at a reasonable price. Most shops in my area had it marked for $70 and up. I finally stumbled upon a bottle for $44.99 and purchased it. Tasted out of a Glencairn snifter. On the nose it smells quite sweet with a cotton candy sort of vibe with a nice mix of spices and a bit of oak. Onto the taste, this one is a bit of a curveball, it doesn't taste nearly as sweet as it smells, it's more on the dry side with the spices really pronounced. Mouthfeel is medium.This isn't really for people who enjoy sweet rum like myself, but I do certainly appreciate it and is quite nice when I want something different. All in all this is a pretty nice rum.This isn't worth the $70+ I've been seeing it for as of late however. If you can find it under $50 I say go for it. I rate it 7.5

Nice amber color. I like to sip neat with a few drops of water. I allowed it to open up for 15 minutes. Smells sweet with caramel and vanilla present. On the palate there is some sweetness and theh nose follows through with its flavors. Very small sting that lets you know it is alcohol but not a negative. This is my current favorite although I have only tried El Dorado 12, Appleton Estate 12 Rare Casks, and Zacapa 23. I do not want added sugar (coloring not preferred but not a show stoppe). I am a sucker for a beautiful bottle.

I am coming from a bourbon neat background and prefer a sweet (but not overly sweet) and caramel profile. This journey will be fun!

A really pleasant vanilla taste, good body, mellow aftertaste!

Итого
Отменный базовый ром, который придётся по вкусу всем! Не сложный и понятный, абсолютно отсутствуют неприятные ноты, хорошо сбалансирован!

En nariz se nota la madera en boca no quema y se nota más los taninos del tiempo en barrica y no empalaga de azúcares pero está ese tono dulce del ron que ha pasado reposando en la barrica al darle un 7 es poco y debía estar bastante más cerca del 8 es un ron de los que me atraen pero el balance de precio, casi 40€, me hace preferir otros .....no es mal ron pero me parece caro, como siempre nunca lo mezclaría.

it s a honest non sweetened rum, good neat or in a rum old fashioned !
let sit 10 minutes in the glass to lower the burn at nose, dry, complex nose (a lot of fruits, oak, brown sugar),
in the mouth is dry, warm but 43% ABV is ok, not too much,
it s a rum for whisky drinkers (me too), better than many 10-12 years old single malts i ve tried !

This is the second rum I fell in love with!!! Go Barbados!!!

This is a great rum. It is just the right amount of sweetness, has layers of complexity, and has a smooth, long finish.

Smells like vanilla, oak, and maybe a bit of light spice. Tastes like a light and balanced rum with maybe a hint of chocolate and dark fruit.
