Diplomatico Distillery Collection No. 1 Batch Kettle Rum!

Quick review:
On the nose- Floral with vanilla and fruit.

First sip- A little sweeter than the Barbet edition which I personally prefer. Roasted caramel, cherry and oak. Still a bit of a bite on the finish. It's very brief though. I believe I like this one a tad more than the No. 2 Barbet but both are pretty solid.
This edition focused on the Batch Kettle Still process which was brought to diplos distillery in 1959. It is a semi continuous distillation system that was originally used in Canada to make whisky. Aged and finished in American white oak barrels. If you find one in the store you should grab one up as they only produced 5000 of these gems. Enjoy!

Even it is a 6 years old rum it it smooth and balanced, different than the older ones, finally.

A very light, but sweet, aroma... like vanilla and apples. Perfect mouth feel, not to oily, rolls over the whole tongue leading to a strong rum flavor with a hint of sweetness and a little heat. It leaves behind a toffee aftertaste with a little overripe banana that reminds me of a Jamaican funk, but not too funky. This is a really nice sipper.

Hier will Diplomatico auch noch auf den Zug aufspringen,Flasche und Verpackung sind schön gemacht auch die Flaschennummerierung wie man sie von wirklich hochwertigen Flaschen kennt.
Aber der Inhalt geht für diesen Preis gar nicht,eine langweiliger Rum ohne Ausdruckskraft oder Aromaerlebnis. Da schenke ich mir dann lieber denn halb so teuren Reserva Exclusiva ein oder legen ein paar Euro drauf und geniesse den ganz hervorragenden Single Vintage

Lækker nok start på distillery serien og glæder mig til at smage kommende varianter

It’s a okay rum, nothing special but still in the top half of the scale

Syntes der er noget ved den. Finder gode noter og fin smag.

Dejlig rom. Masser af smag og blid i munden. Noter af vanilje, jordbær, kirsebær og banan.

Ça commence bien mais ça s'arrête assez vite. Aucune longueur. Il s'habille bien, veut rentrer au VIP-Room mais se fait recaler par le videur.
