Mocambo 20 Art Edition

Wonderful vanilla and caramel aroma in the bottle. Translates well in the flavor. As it hits the tongue one is awash in a complex series of flavors. Some sweetness but not even close to be overwhelming. Very smooth. No burn. Just a nice lingering warmth fading slowly revealing a vanilla and oak aftertaste. Definitely a sipping rum. I prefer this straight up. I think even on the rocks would diminish this fine rum.

Tried a flight of 5 Mocambo rums. Wasn't expecting much from a Mexican rum but this was nice. Wouldn't rush out and buy a bottle but definitely would drink again

It does have a lot of smokiness to it for a rum but still has some of that burnt sugar sweetness. To me this rum has a very distinct flavor and is one of my favorites so far for a sipping rum.

I found that this rum has a smoky flavor that reminded me of scotch whiskey. It has a very clean finish and didn't burn add it went down. I have recommended this rum to the CEO of my company and he was impressed with it.

Vieilli 20 ans, ce rhum mexicain est à l'image de la bouteille qui le contient: unique. Son goût est épicé sans être boisé. A essayer ne serait-ce que pour admirer la bouteille.

Different, interesting... Cinnamon is somewhat overpowering. Astringent.

The aroma is amaretto but a little astringent. Fairly light body. Nice flavor again with amaretto but turns very harsh very fast. Better than a mixing rum but barely good enough as a sipping run.

I see some low ratings of this rum and I have to disagree. While it may not be the best it's a solid performer. Well balanced, polished finish, amazing bottle.
