If you like Captain Morgan then you're probably going to like this one too. It's a bit worse but it's a quarter of the price. Definitely worth if you don't have a lot of money!

Taste comparable to booze, lots of chemicals, cheap rum from Lidl

A cheap mixing rum which could work at end of the month or when a bit short of cash. Its alright for what it is though and could work as a base for long drinks.

De meesten zullen deze rum uit de Lidl wss links laten liggen, maar hij is verrassend lekker als mixer voor Cuba Libre of de cocktail naar keuze. Rum zonder pretentie die je zelfs voor een kleine nip puur drinken kan. Niets gesofisticeerd maar zeker het vermelden waard.

Lovely vanilla finish on this, surprisingly good for the price. A decent end of the month rum

No idea how this one entered the house... Oh yeah, it was cheap so thought it would be ok for a new year's party even as a mixture. Tbh, I won't even cook with it and still have over half a bottle sitting around (2 years now), just hoping someone will make use of it... Give it a few more years

I'm not nearly as experienced with rum as I should be, but even I know this ain't great-but for the price, it's good as a mixer for a student like myself

I will drink this bottle but wouldnt buy again. It has a taste like vodka to me. And not comparable to captain morgans at all, which is much nicer. It does not feel rich, it is a very light colour. But it is enjoyable with lots of diet coke ice and lime. And good price for just under £11 in Lidl so if youre on a budget id recommend although you could get the much nicer captain morgans for a few pounds more.

Bought this in Lidl as i was impressed with the ALDI version of Morgan spiced so thought it would be similar, how wrong i was. It looks the same but that is where the similarity ends.Tastes like a really cheap vodka and leaves a terrible aftertaste. Not a patch on Morgans and not even close to ALDI Spiced. Someone at Lidl needs to have a word, avoid.
