Has a vegetative and grassy taste up front which fades to sherry. Not a bad offering but comes out a bit without flair in the end. Still worth the try and better than most island rums.
($69CAD) 46%ABV
Smells fresh and of sweet, tart fruits. After a few minutes, the aroma of the sherry comes out with a hint of coffee to entice you.
The first thing I notice on the tongue is the fresh almost grassy flavour. Then a quick hit of Carmel sweetness until those two flavours swirl around and vie for domination of your palate. Some sweet fruits come and try to join the party as well. Little to no harshness makes this a fun tipple, though I would like more complexity along the lackluster finish- especially given the price.
Veľmi prijemný rum na také bežné pitie. Cítim drevo, vanilku, citrusy a záver po cherry.

7.5, nice one, maybe some more years in the barrel 7 out of 10
This is a surprisingly nice rum for only 5 years in the barrel. That is why I gave it a 7.5 in the title. His weaknesses is that on the nose is almost nothing compared to the mouth and that is a thing I do not like. Maybe some more years and it would improve. In the mouth you can feel the 46 abv kicking your mouth, that is a good point for me. Pepper, lemon, bananas, very dry, best with a piece of dark chocolate 85%, didn't notice the coconut that was said in the description. Nice sherry finish that gives a round and long finish, but if you don't fancy that you should not buy this one. Overall nice quality for the price (33€ here in Italy), if you look for something similar to the spiciness of Mount Gay Black Barrel but with different finish and flavours.
