I knew nothing about it other than I could get it for $13 before tax. It was a Rhum from Haiti and so I thought, perhaps, it MIGHT be an agricole - NOPE! I can't say it is anything to write home about, but it's just fine for what it is at that price point.
As for tasting notes, it's 86 proof and so fairly mild with little kick. It's not super sweet and so I imagine not a lot of sugar added (I certainly hope not!). At one point while sipping it pineapple, came to mind. The overall flavour isn't bold and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of complexity. But for mindless sipping, it does just fine.
