experienced this molasse rum as very intense and strong with 52,8% alcohol. Falvor: herbal notes of oak, spices and bitters. Palate reveals notes of eucalyptus, black tea and orange peel. Very complex. Dry finish. Found the information that this rum did have a 2nd maturing in french oak casks. Rum Nation is said to have no added sugar to its rums.
With an amber color, this rum has vegetal notes, on medicinal herbs and also fruity notes. On the palate we find plum, prunes and always this citrus side. The woody arrives on a short finish as well as spices with pepper. It is very soft and rounder than the 2006 version.
