Your typical Plantation......solid! Light nose, smooth taste, flavorful on the back end.
I think this is the best plantation expression I’ve had. Perfectly balanced with a great brûlée’d vanilla like taste.
This rum is somehow schizophrenic. Aroma is typical wild jamaican with fruity tones and some esters. But taste is sweet with feuit, peach and banana. Aftertaste is shorter but finaly with some jamaican tones. This can be good "transit rum" from sweet ones to typical jamaicam high voltage, high ester non sweetened rums.
I really loved this jamaican, as it was like a training jamaican to me. It's got the notes of a funkier jamaican, but it was sweet and more demure. Was a great way to relax with a jamaican rather than feeling like you were dancing hard with a jamaican.
Hard to go past the plantation brand in general however this one is one of the best tasting- and for the price its a perfect pick! Great by itself on ice or to mix with any soda or juice 9/10
This was my second rum of "better ones" and what a nice rum, VERY affordable here, and now im looking forward to buy the pineapple one!
Wouldnt be disappointed if this was all I could find on vacation. Has that classic Plantation taste

Plantation Vintage 2002 Jamaica 8 out of 10
This is a very tasty rum if you can find it for a decent price. I know that limited releases of products will only increase in price over time but for what I paid for this $55, it is truly a good expression of Jamaican rum. The taste is quite nice with a good amount of funk and the signature Plantation mellowness to round it all out. Definitely not as funks as like the Smith & Cross but it still has a good amount more so than the Xaymaca. If you get the opportunity to try this or to buy a bottle at a decent price, definitely do so just don't overpay for this unless it is for investment/ collector purposes.
