Plantation Original Dark Double Aged Trinidad & Jamaica

An interesting rum with notes of cognac from the Cognac region.

I drink my rum straight usually and you can drink this straight. Nose is molasses as is the flavour.

Had this last night at our local brew pub. They use this as their well rum! Tasty fruit and brown sugar note. Kind of sweet, but not too much. I'll have to buy a bottle for myself.

Very nice, smooth, dark rum.. there are plenty of rum options at this price, but none of them are as good as this one!

Vanilla and a faint citrus note on the nose. Both transfer to the taste. Not much to of a burn going down. Absolutely love mixing drinks with this one.

Decently smooth with a good taste and just a bit of funk. The relatively affordable price makes it great for mixing.

Surprisingly strong orange like aroma spread immediately after opening the bottle. Taste is rum with bitter dry oak tone. It is miles away from Plantation XO, but still good anyway.
Tried a drop in my morning cup of tea just made my day.

The cherry cask is tasted in the middle, but too simple other spices

Good color, nice clean finish. Some vanilla note but well balanced. Great price.
