I thought it was a pretty smooth rum and made a good base for mermaid punch. (see Pinterest) to me it had less burn than Bacardi Supior or Capt. Morgan white rum.
Great mixer. Much better than Bacardi for sure. Doubt it's a sipper though.
Arrgh, the more I drank this rum, the more I liked it. Aye, there be some low ratings on this one, but here be my thoughts. She smells a bit on the sweet side, with a bit of vanilla, some oak, and a slight hint of tobacco. There also be a faint fruity smell, but I could not tell what. At least, not until I tasted her. She be not as sweet, but there be a solid mix of vanilla, banana, tobacco, and wood. Not oak, but wood. Smooth with very little burn. She goes down easy. As sippin' rums go, this could easily be one, but you have to get to know her. She'll surprise you for sure!
I usually donโt like Blancos but this one is different. I tried this at house of blues and was surprised. My choices were this or Bacardi so I guess it was limited at that time but I was happy that this rum was pretty good.
I am not a fan of Bacardi. But this is good for a Cubra Libre. Many reviews compare this to Bacardi, but honestly Bacardi is to me like Sun to a vampire, it just burns. This was not like that. I do wish I had a bottle of the original from Cuba to compare it to. I may update my review after traveling to India, where a friend has a bottle of the original.
Not a fan of white rums, this one is pretty good, a bit smoky in palate.
For me a perfect alternative to Bacardi Superior, for my rum-and-coke.
Pairs nice in a Hemingway my favorite daiquiri, but itโs not exactly as top of the line as i see it advertised
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
