For the price I bought it for I was expecting a more smooth Rum .
There are some sweet and interesting flavours in it, but then followed by an overpowering taste of "raw" alcohol which totally ruins the tasting experience.
If this was a cheaper pure mixing rum it might be acceptable, but for the price it was, not super expensive, but I have about 6 "go to" lovely sipping Rums, e.g. El Dorado 5, Penny Blue, Angostura 7, that are a joy to sip.
As it stands this Rum is out of it's league pricewise, I certainly will not be buying it again, it is a pity as I originally said, there are some nice flavours in it but the alcohol burn and taste is way too much.
