Enjoyed a bottle of Berry's 10y Fiji Rum while in Hong Kong. Very nice bottle and label design. Bright golden color. Oak is the primary flavor, but plenty of rubber, glue, grassy and floral notes to the nose and palate when neat sipped. Surprisingly strong and dry burn at the end. Not my cup of tea.

Distillery: Unknown
Country of Origin: Fiji
Berry Brothers & Rudd
Aged 10 Years
46%

Raw Material: Molasses

Color: White wine

Nose:
Starts fresh and fruity on pineapple and vanilla aromas. Then some rubber and solvent (varnish) is coming up und becomes a little sour.

Palate:
A tasty spiciness with ginger and black pepper at first mouthfeel. There is a slight sweetness and some fruitiness, which reminds me of gummy bears. Unfortunately there is some less tasty rubber and solvent as well.

Finish:
Medium long, dry and spicy with notes of black tea and old wood.

Comment:
Not very good in my opinion, because of the solvent and rubber that I smelled and tasted.
