Reimonenq Cuvee Prestige 9-Year is a rum aged for nine years using column distillation and traditional alembic distillation methods. It is aged in French oak barrels on the island of Guadeloupe in the Caribbean. The company was founded in 1916 and is located in Sainte-Rose, Guadeloupe. The ABV is 42%.

Visited the Reimonenq Distillery in Guadeloupe and bought a bottle of Rhum Vieilli 9y from the distillery since their tasting bar was very limited. Pretty decent bottle and label design. Mahogany color. Typical dry Rhum Agricole flavors alongside grass, fruits, vanilla and plenty of oak followed by a strong burn being so dry. Rhum Agricole fan boys can easily add 2 points to my score.
This rhum smells a little like bad cognac (VS or VSOP) but when it comes into your mouth it’s a complete explosion of flavours and the afterburn hang on in the same way for a long time. A favourite unquestionably.

Un rhum agricole gourmant.
Une odeur est un gout jamais ressenti avant, une très longue longueur avec pour moi un gout de pruneau sur la fin.
Pretty strong wood note. Good flavor overall. Nice aftertaste.
Ce rhum a un nez unique sur les fruits rouges et le grenadine. Ces notes ressortent sur un ensemble sur de l alcool fort. En goût moins de brutalité, mais un rhum pas pour les novices en agricole. C est pour moi le meilleur que j ai gouté chez eux. Il y a du peps. Son goût est unique. Si vous aimez les rhums forts en arhome il est pour vous. Note 8.2.
Palette aromatique très agréable finement boisé manque peut être d'un peu de watts
Très bonne longueur en bouche pour cet agricole boisé sans trop l’etre. Les arômes exotiques sont riches en bouche. C’est globalement très équilibré mais manquerait presque de relief !
Je n’aime pas trop les rhums reimonenq mais celle-ci sort du lot! Excellent, prix correct et belle carafe
Mahogany colour. The nose is on citrus fruits, exotic fruits, banana, a pastry side with marzipan, milk chocolate with banana. It's also floral. I opt for ylang ylang but not sure. Vanilla of course. On the palate, it is always sweet and greedy banana style that reminds the pisang Ambon green banana liqueur. The finish is always sweet more on the cuberdon. The cuberdon is a traditional candy in Belgium. Original rum.
