Exceptionally clean flavour, slightly earthy and aromatic. Perfect for any Cachaca occasion

You might say that is flat taste, I won't agree. It is rich, smooth and delicious. Has at least three layers: herbaceous(40%), fruity(50%) and little peppery\spicy. Fine enough for sipping and perfect for caipirinha.

This is a good choice for cocktails but, in my opinion, Novo Fogo Silver is a better option if available.

How often can you say a light rum is better than its darker brother from the same distillery. After 400+ ratings this is the first I have ever experienced this. Nose is of sour milk. Not appealing. Taste is smooth and streaky. Musty but pleasant. A little hint of Agricole style grass and earth but less bite. No finish whatsoever. Drinkable and much better than the Leblon dark.

Not having had many different cachacas, I donโ€™t have good ground for comparison but the Leblon makes a fabulous Caipirinha !

Cheers

My first cachaca. Smells great, grassy and some vanilla. The taste is vegetal but strongly of alcohol bending towards varnish. Made a batida rosa with it, which tastes great.

Had this one at the end of the night, very sharp, though this is probably influenced by having had a sweet and very smooth rum before. Perhaps best mixed. Worth a try

Tasted at Laka Lono on 4/9/19. Crystal clear. So much cooked sugar. Perhaps this might be corn in fact! Harsh. A chainsaw. If there is any cognac barrel aging in this, it escapes me. I love cachaca and this is likely my least favorite.

I love to drink Caipirinha in special versions. This Leblon tasts perfect in a Caipi with pinapple and mint. Also in a Caipi with several berrys (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry). It intensify the fruity taste without bringing the alcoholic taste in front. In Germany good availability for good price about 20 Euro. Drink it neat is not my thing. But why should I do that, when it's perfect in a Caipi :-)

Its not quite nova fogo, but if you're making caiparinhas then you don't need to look any further. This is a good one.
