Sugar: 0 gpl. You know you are in a Dive Bar that is working on a budget when the only white rum available is this one. Smells a bit like Kerosene and leaves a petroleum after taste in your mouth even when it's mixed with Coke. It's not good and if you are thinking of a rum and this is the only one on the shelf, then order something else or leave.
Updated April 2018. After tasting the rums from the Labourdonnais Distillery I decided to revise this rum from a 2 to a 3.
This is not good. It has an overpowering chemical smell and taste. There is no sweetness whatsoever. It is, however, somewhat, and I mean SOMEWHAT, enjoyable with a lot of mixer such as Coke.
I agree that this rum isn't exactly winning any awards. However, I don't exactly hate it either. Would be a good rum for infusing/making dram.
Vanilla notes, a little bit of custard, banana
Good vanilla flavor, smooth enough to drink neat. Little to no burn, a bit heavy on the tounge as a finish - but not unpleasant
The nose is like an agricole with a bit of rubbing alcohol. The taste reveals a poorly aged spirit with a light burn to finish. It is best mixed. $27 at LCBO
I’d rather drink hand sanitizer. Don’t ever get this shit. If anything get the Lambs Palm Breeze much more flavour
Got a bottle of Lamb's White Rum from a local grocery store on my last night here at Mexico City. Bottle and label design looks nice and unique. Strong alcohol and such a burn to your nose and palate. This is not a neat sipper due to such a strong burn, so mix it up with your favorite soda.
Aroma of a wino's Thursday morning breath. Can't be used to start a bbq because you will ruin the burners. Absurdly horrible. Grandpa drank this in the trenches and evidently there is some resold from old canteens. Run!
