Lamb’s Navy Rum is a blend of Caribbean rums that are aged four years in whiskey and bourbon barrels.
The original Lamb's Navy rum recipe, created by Alfred Lamb, blended 18 different rums sourced from Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados and Guyana. Lamb began blending the rums in England in 1859 and references the British Royal Navy in its name.

Is very sweet molasses flavour, good value for money
Part of the reason that dark rum was never on my radar after deciding this bottle wasn't for me. I've grown up and rum ratings has the tools to show me where the better options are. Thanks Rum Ratings!
A lovely tasting Rum which was very smooth and well worth a try had it at Wetherspoon with Pepsi max
This rum is a great mixer. Notes of molasses on the nose as well as the tongue. If you enjoy sweet malty rums, this is a great choice. Not really a sipping rum though.
Smells ok. Tastes ok. Surprised, actually. Expected it to be horrible
Navy rum. You want some bite…check. You want some molasses or Demerara and a bit of depth…check. You want a blend with balance….check. You want a finish that doesn’t disappear right away….check. So this checks the boxes. It is a nice navy strength. Definitely earned a place on my cabinet
One of my go to dark rums...Great to mix with cola
I approached Lamb's Navy with a little trepidation since opinions on it seem sharply divided and I therefore had little to no idea what to expect. The nose is leathery with just a tiny hint of smoke and, I suppose, is kinda what you'd expect so no problems there. It's got a good, robust flavour which is better that some other cheaper mass market products but doesn't make much impression on the front of one's palate. There's lots of spice/burn and it has a nice finish with a pleasant aftertaste. It's also a good colour, which appears to be mostly from actual aging rather than from added chemicals as in certain other products I could mention. In conclusion, then, the Lamb's Navy Rum is better than I expected and I'd certainly buy it again whenever I'm really broke.
Taken the mantle of the standard dark rum

The rum is very sweet.
"It’s a very rich, sweet, fruity rum."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
