Distillerie Saint Maurice La Belle Cabresse

I've discovered this rum at the Paris RumFest 2014. It has been a very good surprise to me: Powerfull and fruitfull, its one of the single light rum that I would be able to drink straight up, along with the Damoiseau.

The rhum agricoles from french Guyana is a bit different from those of Martinique or Guadeloupe, they have a sort of earthiness of their own. La Belle Cabresse is one of my top favorites for ti-punch...

Ce rhum de Guyane me semble plus doux en bouche que les rhums agricoles de Martinique, le goût fruité ressort bien.
En finale, on trouve un petit arrière-goût un peu terreux.
Goûté en ti punch.

Ce Rhum blanc est je trouve trop sec et donc trop fort!
Je n'ai pas forcément apprécié sa dégustation mais mes papilles Rhumfactives sont encore en cours de développement...

Ce rhum blanc de Guyana est excellent pour le ti'punch, bien aromatisé, il et agréable a boire.

In the same league as the better French Caribbean white rums. With a kind of warm taste which brings a nice original touch.

Rhum agricole qui donne d'excellents rhums arrangés!

Le meilleur rhum en ti-punch. Dommage qu'il soit si difficile à trouver en dehors de Guyane...

Un bon rhum blanc parfumé et riche en saveurs. En planteur ou en ti punch c'est très bon

Agricole blanc from French Guyana 50% abv.
Nose: earthy, grassy, herbal, lightly moldy
Palate: lot of heat, very earthy and grassy, herbal, lightly citrusy, bit star anise
Finish: quite hot and very dry, after a while it turns bit watery
Overall: great blanc agricole to add to your collection, is bit more different than martinique blancs, this one is more bold and taste is very earthy and herbal with less citrus and fruit flavors.
Martinique Blancs for me often tend to have more citrusy and fruity profile.
