Trinidad and Tobago | Spiced | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4) Distilled
Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

Un bon rhum, bouteille sympa, un bon goût de vanille et café.
I bought the 750 of kraken because they had a special ceramic bottle. I needed a new rum to use as a mixer so figured, why not. I am Sadly disappointed with the flavor. It might just be that I am not fond of Spiced rums anymore but this just seemed to have a bitterness no matter what I mixed with. I think I will search out a different rum for future mixing.
Very good all-round and not too pricey. Great with a coke.
Very harsh rum. Over powering flavour. Not a favorite go to rum.
I find the Kraken Black Spiced an easy to drink rum.
Quite sweet, my kind of drink.
Don't know how to feel about this rum. Drinking it straight up is both fantastic and way too much. It's sooo much vanilla and sweetness in there. The first few sips were amazing but after that the artifical vanilla flavour bacame too much. Great rum to mix with coke and you don't need to mix a lot of kraken in there either.
I prefer this to most other spiced rums!
I drink this when nothing else suits my mood!
Good mixer if looking for an alternative to Myers. Has a bit more flavor as well
A caramel/treacley heavy molasses like smell. .
"There is nothing subtle about the spicing and the caramel flavour makes the rum, to my taste overly sweet."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

A very well balanced rum. Some sweetness with some good spice flavor as well. Has a kick when you drink a few more...
