Kraken Black Spiced

I was given a bottle of this for my birthday, tried a glass straight and i can say I will not do that again.
It's ok in coke, but then again there are better choices. I'll use it when friends come over ( evil laugh ).

This is a very harsh rum, good for "Customers" as my mom used to say, who visit and want to mix it with something. Although once in awhile I will take a swig and act like a Pirate with the crinkling face and all... Not on my good list...

If you’re mixing this dark rum with orange juice or in some baked goods you can’t go wrong. But as a daily drinker, it’s too sweet it tastes like a soft drink with booze.

It’s not the worst. It’s a real molasses heavy, artificially sweetened rum.

The flavors taste artificial. I was looking for strong flavors and Kraken did not disappoint, just wish there was more complexity. The taste was overall boring to me and too much on the sweet side.

For mixing, not sipping. Spiced rum. Vanilla flavour.

Has notes of spices and sweetness, all of which is overpowered by its harshness. You're better off buying Captain Morgan Black Spiced.

It's ok your a bit short of funds can be picked up at supermarkets £16 but there are nicer out there it's mass produced but better than captain Morgan the bench mark for cheap rum

With gingerale this makes a pretty good dark and stormy, with enough spice to compliment the soda nicely. However, it's not my first choice by any means, and for some bizarre reason I enjoy Captain Morgan Black more than I do this, especially neat or on the rocks.
I'm surprised to find that many reviews say that this is a very smooth drink, it hurts to drink this neat for me, but I suppose everyone's palates are different.

i like the nice dark color but to spicy for my taste good with ginger ale
